Terms of Use
Terms of Use
Last updated: 17 October 2026
These terms govern your use of Müsli, formerly DietLab (the "App"), an iOS application published by Not Too Much s.r.o., a company registered in the Czech Republic, company ID (IČO) 22566821, with its registered office at Rybná 716/24, Staré Město, 110 00 Praha 1 (the "Company", "we", "our"). By installing or using Müsli you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't install or use the App.
1. The App is not medical advice
Müsli helps you log what you eat and track your weight, body measurements and energy expenditure. It is a self-tracking and educational tool. It is not a medical device, not a diagnostic tool, and not a substitute for professional advice from a doctor, registered dietitian, nutritionist, or other qualified healthcare provider.
Macro estimates, calorie counts, AI-generated food recognition, and any guidance shown in the App are approximations and may be incorrect. Do not rely on Müsli to make decisions about your health, treatment of any condition, or management of any allergy, intolerance, or disease. If you have a medical condition or are pregnant, consult a qualified professional before changing your diet.
2. Free features and Müsli Pro
Manual logging, barcode scanning, food search, the food log, body tracking and the expenditure estimate are free. The AI features — photo, label and menu scanning, describing a meal in words, AI nutrition estimates and the Weekly review — require a Müsli Pro subscription. Each installation may include a small number of free meal photo scans so you can try the feature first; the number is shown in the App and may change.
Müsli Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through Apple's App Store, offered in monthly, quarterly and yearly periods. The price for your region is shown in the App before you subscribe. New subscribers may be offered a free trial; when it ends, the subscription starts and your Apple ID is charged unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the trial. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms. If a subscription ends, the AI features lock again and everything else, including all your data, stays available.
We may change prices for new subscribers. Apple will notify existing subscribers of a price change and, where required, ask for their consent. AI features are subject to daily fair-use limits that protect the service from abuse; they are set well above ordinary personal use, and the App tells you if you reach one.
Features may change over time. Data formats may change between versions, and we cannot guarantee that every export from an earlier version remains importable in a later one.
3. Your account and your data
Müsli does not have user accounts. Your data lives on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud database. You are responsible for backing it up. If you uninstall the App or lose your device without iCloud or an export, we cannot recover your data — we never had it. How data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where this restriction is prohibited by applicable law.
- Use the App in a way that violates applicable laws or infringes the rights of others.
- Use the App's AI features to send abusive, illegal, or non-food content for processing.
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the App.
5. Third-party services
When you use an AI feature, the App sends the photo, text or weekly summary you submit to Anthropic's Claude API through our relay server, which applies fair-use limits to AI requests. When you scan a barcode or search for a food, the App queries the Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central public databases. Your use of these features is also subject to those services' terms. We are not responsible for outages, errors, or data handling by these third-party services.
6. Intellectual property
Müsli, including its design, code, copy, and brand, belongs to Not Too Much s.r.o. The food data shown in the App via Open Food Facts is owned by its respective contributors and licensed under ODbL. You retain full ownership of any content you create inside the App (your food log, saved meals, photos you attach).
7. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of nutritional information, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Not Too Much s.r.o. and its directors, employees, and contractors are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of (or inability to use) the App. Our total liability for any direct damages is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (such as liability for personal injury caused by gross negligence or intentional misconduct under Czech law).
9. Apple-specific terms
Müsli is distributed via Apple's App Store. You acknowledge that these terms are between you and Not Too Much s.r.o., not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. Apple is, however, a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you. Your use of the App must also comply with the App Store's terms of service.
10. Termination
You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription — cancel it in your App Store account settings. We may discontinue the App at any time. If we discontinue the App, we will give reasonable notice where possible so you can export your data first.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by good-faith discussion will be submitted to the competent courts of the Czech Republic, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights you may have in your country of residence.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms over time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any change. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
